God is Greater-- May Newsletter
There was one day in May when I was working with a preschooler. I happened to be wearing a shirt that didn't cover my tattoo and the child asked me about it. It was such an innocent question to them, but to me it was everything. It gave me that much-needed reminder to myself of why I am going to Budapest and the calling that God has placed on my life to share the Gospel with young children.
If you don’t know, I have a tattoo on my forearm that has a cross and these symbols:
These symbols are more than just little doodles. This is a reminder that God is greater, better, and more powerful than anything I go through. Both the good times and bad, God is greater.
I was able to have a conversation with this 5-year-old about how God is always with us and how when I look at this picture on my arm, it reminds me that I am never alone. In a way, I was able to show them, and myself, that life might not always be easy, but we never go through it alone. We have a God who hears our prayers. He loves us so much and is always guiding us to what is best for us. Even if that means we might have to struggle for a little bit.
When we are working to spread the Gospel, the enemy will do anything to stop us. This means that I have seen my fair share of challenges, even just throughout the past 30 days. Even though it might have been challenging, I know that God is watching over me and hears my prayers. Through every phone call, appointment, & interaction I have, the Holy Spirit is with me, sustaining me and guiding me. I am not alone. That is truly comforting.
