His Never-Ending Presence-- July Newsletter
" And behold, I will be with you always, to the end of the ages." – Matthew 28:20b
Four flights. Six presentations. So many little ones learning about Jesus. Countless new friends. One amazing month.
And just like that, July is over.
Through this busy month, one characteristic of God that I have continued to witness is His never-ending presence in my life. On more than one occasion this month, I have needed Him more than ever. At every turn, God has sent me words of encouragement. Whether it was through a prayer, a Bible passage, or a person, I knew that God was right there next to me. I may doubt my abilities at times, but I have no doubt that the Lord is moving in my life and in the ministry that I am a part of.
I spent the first half of July in West Virginia. For the first weekend, I spent time with the Refuge Church at their family camp. I had the best time teaching the kiddos about Jesus and His calling for us to share Him with everyone around us (Matthew 28:19). We had a blast playing games, going on nature walks, and making crafts. One of my favorite things we did that weekend was on Saturday night. During our lesson, we talked about one way to help share the Gospel with those around us and those across the world. Prayer! Prayer is able to go places we might not be able to reach, especially as kids. That night, each of the kids wrote out a prayer for someone they knew that doesn’t know Jesus yet. I had kids who prayed for family members, friends, neighbors, and classmates. We were even able to see the beginning of answered prayers on that Sunday!
During that next week, I spent my days at the Redeemer’s Church Adventure Camp. I had the best group of 5-year-olds! We spent each day reading God’s Word and observing all that He created. It was so much fun making our own tipi that we used during our discussion times to escape the heat. On our third day, we had a competition to see which group could build the best cardboard boat that we then tested in the water later that day. All of the teams did a great job, but I have to say that the kids in this group were the best boat makers I’ve ever seen.
My time in West Virginia ended with visits to four different churches where I was able to share my story and ministry vision. It was a blessing to not only tell others about my passion and joy for teaching children but to also show them what my ministry in Hungary will look like and the vision I have for sharing the love and grace that Christ has shown me.
At the end of July, I spent a special week in Michigan at the Eaton Rapids Holiness Camp. More than 200 people spent the week growing closer to God. While there, I had the privilege of being the missionary representative for One Mission Society. Through prayer, sermons, and fellowship, God reminded me how, as a follower of Christ, He calls me to live my life in a way that brings honor and glory to Him - Not to earn His love, but out of my love for Him. I will never be able to repay my God who sent His only Son down to earth in order to pay the debt I owed, and because of what Jesus did on the cross, I don't have to! Instead, I am called to love and serve Him by sharing His love with others. Not to earn His love, but out of my love for Him. On that Wednesday, I had the opportunity to present my ministry to the whole congregation. It was such a blessing to share my testimony and the many ways that God has already been moving in my life to prepare me for this ministry.
To those, I met this month, whether from West Virginia, Michigan, or somewhere in between, thank you so much for welcoming me into your lives with open arms. Sharing this time with you has been a true honor and something for which I will always be grateful.
Thank you to those led by the Lord to join in this partnership. If you have not partnered financially, would you consider joining me in reaching young Hungarians with the Gospel?
Even though I have reached my pre-field goal, I am still in need of monthly supporters before I can begin my ministry in Hungary. If you feel called to partner with me monthly, please click the link above. I am also in need of others with whom I can share my ministry vision. If you know anyone who would be interested in hearing about my ministry and what I will be doing in Hungary, please share this newsletter or reach out to me. Thank you for all of your prayers and support! Your prayers and kind words have been such an encouragement to me.
